I looked but was unable to locate previous DR1 thread on Ebay from last year, then... after using Google, I found it. I sent a message via the "Report" option to whomever moderates the Business forums with the intent of having this thread removed but I see the thread is still active.

Sometimes the search function is glitchy, I’ll leave both.
Forget about it !!!! No way on earth that he can compete with US or Canada Sellers. If the Shipping cost want kill him than the negetive feedbacks will because costumers have to wait forever to receive their purchases.
For what it's worth, I've never used the search function of the forum software, but only Google:
"site:dr1.com [search terms]"
Works like a charm...
Not for hard to find or unique items.
Examples: original oldtimer parts like a spoke wheel, sweets from Bonao, Ron Centenario Edición Limitada.

Weird, I just got completely different results like that:
"dr1: monte grande" = only first two results are for dr1.com
"site:dr1.com monte grande" = all results are only dr1.com
Am I missing something?

Nobody has ever figured out a good, reliable, cheap, and efficient way to send items out of the DR.
I suspect a lack of demand is the culprit.
If you were in Sosua or Cabarete, for example, your best option as quoted above is INPOSDOM.
The office for INPOSDOM is at the POP airport since the one in Sosua was closed. No demand.
So every EBAY order would require someone to go to POP,
Not quick, not convenient.
The standard couriers like UPS, FEDEX, DHL are rather expensive.
EPS might be an option for small items, but it is anything but quick.
I recently sold 8 items that I could not sell in DR for years even for the fraction of their price, finally sold them for a good price to buyers from UK, Canada and USA within a week. All were shipped by EMS from central office of INPOSDOM in Santo Domingo, all arrived on time or earlier, no problems at all, got positive feedback from all buyers.

What were the items and did you have to take them yourself to INPOSDOM in the capital?

It's one major item, along with water and electricity holding the island back.
I live in SD.
Items were some professional equipment that nobody needs in DR, with price range from 200 to 1000 USD. Smallest box was 2 pounds, biggest one was 25 pounds. Sold one item to UK, others to US and Canada, all left DR next day after shipping them, tracking works fine, one sent to UK was delivered with Parcel Force, and in US they delivered by USPS and in Canada by Canada Post, all signature required on delivery.
