    A Deal With The Devil

Wow, Playa Palanque, I haven't been there in some years. I agree with your assessment on the live and let live attitude of most Dominicans and really hope that outsiders, including NGO's don't come in and try to push their agendas.

    A Deal With The Devil

I think these are issues for Dominicans to decide not outside, globalist lib hacks pushing their agenda on the Dominican population.

Contamination of Dominican Beaches in Bocachica/Guayacanes/JuanDolio

Bill, The problem with your idea, in my opinion is that grandma is going to be the one tossing the beer bottle and father tossing the styrofoam. An ad campaign in conjunction with education I believe would work best. I have 2 experiences in my time living, besides all the times in general that...

Contamination of Dominican Beaches in Bocachica/Guayacanes/JuanDolio

Since it is most likely diluted they are losing a bit less than that. The value isn't enough to make them mindful plus it's also possible (probable) that some is stolen in which case the sales is 100% profit.

    Selling land in Puerto Plata

Duh, I guess you can't read where I wrote "it's not the price" DUH!. We have both verified what other properties in the same area have sold for and were told by Remax that our asking price was very good. This is NOT the first time I sold a property. You should remain a non commenting Gadfly.

    Selling land in Puerto Plata

Does anyone have a suggestion for a realtor to represent owners in selling land in Puerto Plata? Have already tried Remax and an independent with zero success. It's not the price, just lazy people not looking to do their job in promoting the property. Thanks in advance.

    Santo Domingo Motors....Very Impressive

It's been some time but I was very familiar with most of these dealers. The family that owns the Kia franchise also own (or owned) Ford Lincoln Mercury, Mazda and Jaguar. I think I saw a Chinese brand on the lot the last time I passed so they may have added another franchise.

ALERT: MISSING AMERICAN LAST SEEN IN CABARETE

More facts became clear as the time passed. He was supposed to check out Fri. The owner of the Air BNB had his room cleaned and was holding all of his belongings, a friend has already picked up those things. He had talked to this same friend Thurs late afternoon from the beach and we assume he...

ALERT: MISSING AMERICAN LAST SEEN IN CABARETE

Please, let's not read more into Rome's death. From what I know he was on the beach in Cabarete close to where he had swam in the past. He was in excellent shape but the sea, especially can be very powerful and unforgiving. He was a great young man and will be much missed by many.

ALERT: MISSING AMERICAN LAST SEEN IN CABARETE

My friend who was like a second father to Rome has identified the body. It was our young friend. So that people don't have the wrong idea I'd like to say that our young friend although moving to Sosua at the age of 17 with his dad was never a big party guy. He was one of the most responsible...

ALERT: MISSING AMERICAN LAST SEEN IN CABARETE

Why would you say that? I've been in contact with the police and they didn't say anything about that. We have access to personal belongings. Any way a mutual friend is going to try and identify the body in custody. The police I spoke to said the face is recognizable. Not that I wish it upon...

    Migracion has Some New Posts

Yes, Bogota is cold. Cartagena is not but a bit too touristy for my liking. Medellin is the city of eternal spring, not as cold as either Manizales or Bogota. Cali is ok but more crime ridden and since my daughters will visit me from the states this is a factor for me. Certain neighborhoods of...

    Migracion has Some New Posts

I've been traveling around since I moved here in July before making a final decision on which city. I've been coming down for 5 years and used to have an office in Medellin. I like Santa Marta a lot and Cartagena (except for too many tourists). I am considering a few of the smaller cities but...

    Migracion has Some New Posts

I really don't check often since moving after 15 years living in the D.R.however my son and his family as well as many friends still live there so I check in periodically. Regarding the discussion of immigration rules it has long been where many who went through the process were anxious for the...

Not here on DR1 things don't evolve. I haven't checked into DR1 in some time since I moved down to South America and now for the first time in a while I take a look and the same old argument/comments about the dreaded overstay hoodlums. Some of you will not be happy until some day when the...
