My parents were snowbirds in Florida for many years. We would go down to see them almost every year. It was really nice but way too crowded, and this was in the late 90s and early 00s. I could never live there, although they have a great guv.

While I agree with you I don't see this happening. Politicians are a very greedy bunch. They don't like to give back money they think is theirs. Are there exceptions? Sure, but they're rare.

The negotiations crap has completely turned me off Uber. Besides that, there are always taxis around. I prefer moto-taxis because they can beat traffic, but understand some gringos/as don't like them. I have the Uber app but haven't used it in about a year.

Incredibly sad. While I didn't know them, they are from my home state of Missouri. Their sacrifice will hopefully be remember for a very long time. But this is what servants do, they serve. And they did it admirably. I do agree that serving in PaP is not an overly wise thing to do now.

I've never had this happen but many times I have been asked to renegotiate for a higher price. This is why I stopped using Uber. Taxis are just as good.
