Based on the descriptions of some of the cacao, I would like to try some. I really enjoy a darker chocolate with a bit of spice.

Great information for those interested. There is a number of references to Tainos cultivating cacao which I suspect is true. So far there has only been some cacao residue on drinking vessels found in Jamaica before European arrival as far as the Caribbean goes. In the Rizek offices in SFM there is a painting with a Taino women and a cacao tree. They couldn't confirm that the painting was historically accurate when I asked.
