I'm not complaining. Since I wrote that I've had at least 5-6 more times where it came down in buckets for a minute or so and then stopped like somebody closed the faucet.
Except for now. Now it's drizzling. I'm gonna sleep well tonight.

Such Alerts are happening quiet often during our winter months, specially when Vaguadas form up.
That Hurricane Season will not provide more big storms does not mean that the weather will be for some months nicely quiet and full sunny, the OPPOSITE, our Caribbean winter time is way more cloudy, rainy and wavier than the calm spring and summer times.
People always mistake Hurricane Season with bad weather time, but the opposite is the fact, the most beautiful weather for beach times we have during spring and summer, during Hurricane Season, with the exception of the few days per year when such storm really messes with our local weather.

Those alerts are lately coming up for us at the north coast even when a storm passes by far of the south coast with ocean like a lake and sun out all day....
The Comité de Prevención Mitigacion y Repuesta de Puerto Plata are rael Sessel Furzer (you know what I mean 😁 ) and make our life's difficult.....

There are still some clouds around pushed into Hispañola's way, but there will be way less water than expected for this Island.

Raining so hard at the Cove in Samana that there are small ponds forming. That usually only happens during hurricanes.

it is cloudy but no dark rainnclouds.
bbq is still outside, wanted to put it under the veranda roof, bit was not necessary.

Yes, a lot is going on over here in our neck of the woods. More than one bridge underwater.

The issue with the retaining wall collapse is ongoing. There is concern folks trapped in cars underneath may drown from the flow of water coming in:
